“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray – Rumi”
Although used interchangeably, coaching and counseling are quite distinctive approaches.
Coaching focuses on achieving specific goals mainly aimed at improving lifestyle, and work performance by overcoming self-limiting beliefs or years of conditioning. It’s a journey of self-discovery that helps the coachee realize their full potential and operate at optimum levels, either professionally or in their personal life.
Counseling also enables self-discovery; however, the slight but significant difference is taking an in-depth view of the individual’s past. Understanding how beliefs and value systems were formed, what instances and individuals impacted them, and how that shaped their personality. This awareness helps the person redesign their life and achieve their true potential.
